Wildflowers or weeds? Let's go wild. These beauties add sunshine to the streets just outside of Baton Rouge. Can't get this view in the city. And my super awesome friends pulled over on the side of the road just for me to capture these two lovely shots.
Growing up all around Louisiana and spending some time in Mississippi where moms was born and raised gives a girl a nice balance of the country life and the city life. Most would probably call me a city girl though and I wouldn't argue with em, but I am country at heart. All about fishing with a cane pole, but you can forget me baiting the hook with anything other than a worm. Love a good country tune and some bonfire nights, but I'm out on female country singers. But a cowboy, I'm all in. Speaking of, where have all the cowboys gone??? Seriously.
I have an absolutely ridiculous fear of bugs and all things that buzz, but something about wearing cowboy boots and boot cut jeans makes me a magic spider killin' machine. Truth. I just discovered the magic of boots after my first camping trip this year. You can read about that in one of my earlier blogs. Peeing with the coyotes... I'm so brave.
Four country concerts on my calendar in the next 2 months. C'mon cowboys!
