Want to know who’s teaching your children how to be I.N.D.E.P.E.N.D.E.N.T.? (INSERT Webbie beat) She got her own CLASS, makes her own food, true story, sews hard, she’s a SUPER STAR!
Get up on your feet for this incredible woman! It is with great pleasure that I introduce the one and only, Stacey Youngblood, to the world! She is the MOM of campus, a symbol of STRENGTH, and has a HEART made of gold. She’s the one who teaches your students how to be BOLD. Currently in her 18th year of teaching, she is empowering the kids on campus with LIFE skills. She teaches Family and Consumer Science, Environmental Science, and Drama. Yes, THREE preps! And THREE kids of her own! Super star…told you.
“I have always been inspired by teachers that made learning meaningful and fun. I was the type of kid that learned best by doing, so I strive to create the same type of environment for my students.”
Her classroom is filled with COLOR and CULTURE. She has a beautiful way of opening their minds and shifting their paradigm. These kids develop the mindset of becoming more than they think they are capable of. They can grow their own food, harvest it, and cook their own meals. They can read a pattern and sew their own clothes. They can identify stereotypes and overcome fears. This girl grew up on a farm which apparently is the recipe for the magic remedy of everything. It’s truly a beautiful thing to see this woman teach these kids her childhood, her heart, and tenacity.
She is the best host to family and friends and plans to open her own restaurant after teaching. We can’t wait to watch those dreams come true.
One of my favorite things about her is how she expresses her gratitude to others. She always has a special way of saying thank you. She surprises you with kind notes and sweet gestures—just another way of showing her selfless attitude. If you are blessed to know this beautiful woman, she is a friend for LIFE.
